Our beautiful love child has officially reached its two-year birthday, and we could not be more proud. 😭 When we first embarked on this consulting journey, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. But, what we did know was that, with 12 years of collective experience, we had so much to offer—and the world was more than ready to receive us.
These past two years have been nothing short of affirming, challenging, and deeply rewarding. Consulting QTs started with just the two of us—Michaé and Yessica—and today, we’re thrilled to say our team has grown to a team of three and our impact has expanded in ways we couldn’t have imagined. You may have already met her, but please give a intergalactic welcome to Effemy Xitllali our Visual Communications & Graphics Artist 🎨
These past two years have been nothing short of amazing and we are excited to share some of our highlights:
✨ Powerful Partnerships
We’ve had the honor of working with organizations across the country, spreading queer and trans power through policy strategy, facilitation, and transformative projects. Last year for example, we were simultaneously working on a TGI housing report in Orange County, leading a strategic planning process for a trans-led organization transitioning to non-profit status, designing a Zine regarding HIV awareness highlighting the voices of TGI youth, managing social media platforms for a statewide foundation, and leading a statewide budget advocacy campaign to secure re-entry funding for TGI people in California (to name a few of our contracts).

Consulting QTs has been on the move! ✈️ We’ve taken our work across the country! We have presented workshops (including our now signature Bestie, Start that Business! workshop), facilitated retreats, built connections, and shared knowledge at some of the following places:

We’ve been doing some growing behind the scenes, too! We have officially rebranded and launched our new website! Same name, new look ✨ Take a look at www.consultingqts.org (psst, you’re already here) You’ll notice that our signature Consulting QTs bbs have grown up a bit! We’ve expanded our solar system of recommended QTs and have new tabs and links that provide more information about the work and services that we offer.
